A story well-known in Australia, Jane and Glenn McGrath’s much-publicised experience with breast cancer led to the formation of what is now one of Australia’s most respected and recognised charities – the McGrath Foundation.
The McGrath Foundation raise money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia as well as to increase breast awareness in young people, with a particular emphasis on young women through our national breast education initiative ‘Curve Lurve’.
Today, over 40,000 Australian families have been supported by 110 McGrath Breast Care Nurses nationally. This service is provided free of charge and can be accessed by self-referral.
Every day, the Foundation work towards realising Jane’s vision: for every family experiencing breast cancer to have access to the support of a breast care nurse, no matter where they live or financial situation.
On January 5th we also had the pleasure of sponsoring the 2016 Jane McGrath High Tea, suppling gorgeous vases of flowers to brighten up the tables, and pink rose stems for all the guests to take home. Take a look at these fabulous shots taken at the event below…
It’s been a fantastic start to the year working with community organisations such as the McGrath Foundation. We hope the proceeds from our McGrath Foundation High Tea Bouquet can make a positive difference to a family’s life, in even the smallest of ways, as they cope with experiencing breast cancer.
