Valentines Day Roses
Valentine’s Day Roses
The word rose comes from the Latin word ‘rosa’ which means ‘red’.
Red roses have been known since ancient times as the flower that symbolises eternal love, that is why they make the best Valentine’s Day gift for that special loved one and are the perfect expression of just how important they are to you.
A little about some of the other coloured roses:
White Roses
White roses traditionally symbolise truth and innocence and say ‘I really do miss you’ or ‘you are heavenly’.
Lilac, Pink and Purple Roses
If you've met some one and fallen in love at first sight, send them a mixed bouquet of lilac, pink or purple roses to confirm your love.
Yellow Roses
Yellow roses are normally sent to those who you have a platonic and friendship based relationship.
Valentine’s Day Love Poem
Roses are red, and violets are blue
sugar is sweet and so are you
My sweetheart, day is mine but dreams are yours,
a request for a day, lasting forever, will you be my Valentine?
