Chullora is mainly an industrial area that has a number of warehouses and factories. Several newspapers and magazines of Sydney have their printing set-ups here. The shopping centre in this area has a mixed bag of shops and retail outlets, ranging from big stores to small, independently owned shops.
The most exciting part about Chullora`s history is the fact that it used to be the site for wartime manufacturing. The area used to be littered with bunkers and an underground network of storage facilities. The steel doors to the bunkers were welded shut in the 1980s, and the entrances to the storage area have also been locked up.
