Looking for some fun flower crafts to do with kids? Take a look at these cool ideas for making flowers, ideal for a rainy weekend or the school holidays!

1. Paper Flower Drinking Straws

A super cute idea for kids to make as decoration for their birthday party or a teddy bear’s picnic. You will need coloured paper, scissors, double sided tape, a hole punch and drinking straws. To make it super simple, you can download a blossom template and use the step-by-step instructions on how to make these funky flowers here.

4. Celery ‘Rose’ Stamp

Buy a cheap bunch of celery and cut the end off. Put red paint onto a paper plate and dip the cut end of the celery into the paint. Stamp on paper and voila, a rose! A clever idea to use for home-made cards or wrapping paper…

5. Tulip Potato Prints, Soft Drink Bottle & Pencil Stamps…

An easy art project using potatoes and paint to create tulip flowers! Simply cut potatoes in half lengthways and carve out the top in a zig-zag shape just like tulips. Squirt paint onto paper plates for kids to dip the potato stamps into. And use paint brushes to draw long, green lines for stems. For detailed step-by-step instructions click here. Alternatively, dip the base of a plastic soft drink bottle into paint, or rubber band together seven pencils with soft erasors on the ends, as pictured below.
