A super cute idea for kids to make as decoration for their birthday party or a teddy bear’s picnic. You will need coloured paper, scissors, double sided tape, a hole punch and drinking straws. To make it super simple, you can download a blossom template and use the step-by-step instructions on how to make these funky flowers here.
How fun would these look in your child’s bedroom or playroom, maybe even planted in the garden for a party? You will need lots of tissue paper in different colours to get you started. For detailed instructions on how to make, click here.
A yummy flower craft for kids birthdays or school holidays. Use bright coloured card-stock and cut out in flower shapes. Glue minature paper cupcake holders in the centre, and fill with lollies. Simple!
Buy a cheap bunch of celery and cut the end off. Put red paint onto a paper plate and dip the cut end of the celery into the paint. Stamp on paper and voila, a rose! A clever idea to use for home-made cards or wrapping paper…
An easy art project using potatoes and paint to create tulip flowers! Simply cut potatoes in half lengthways and carve out the top in a zig-zag shape just like tulips. Squirt paint onto paper plates for kids to dip the potato stamps into. And use paint brushes to draw long, green lines for stems. For detailed step-by-step instructions click here. Alternatively, dip the base of a plastic soft drink bottle into paint, or rubber band together seven pencils with soft erasors on the ends, as pictured below.
These accordian ‘origami’ paper flowers make a pretty bouquet, can have magnets glued on the back to create stylish fridge magnets, or simply be glued on top of a present as unique trim. All you need are sheets of patterned origami paper and buttons to get you underway. For detailed instructions on how to make, click here.
