5 Ways To Treat Your Mum This Mother's Day From Home

With everything that has been going on this year, it can be easy to forget about those dates and events that can bring us closer together.

This year Mother’s Day falls on the 10th May and it’s more important now than ever before during these incredibly tough times to show your mum just how much you care about her. Whether you will be celebrating Mother’s Day together at home or via distance. We have come up with the 5 best ways to treat your mum this Mother’s Day during lock down!

There are so many options when it comes to spoiling your mum this Mother’s Day.
We want all mums to know how truly special and loved they are, and that they deserve the absolute best, even during these trying times.

1. Spoil her with breakfast in bed

There will be no visits to cafes this year for a fancy Aussie cafe breakfast for mum, so why not try your hand at cooking breakfast? You don’t need to be a world class chef to whip up her favourite dish and serve it to her in bed.

Our go-to Sunday morning breakfast suggestions include the classics such as pancakes, bacon and eggs on toast, breakfast bruschetta or even french toast for a sweet treat in the morning. Don’t forget to add in her go-to beverage, pop it on a tray and you’ll have one happy mum to start the day!

2. Surprise her with a flower delivery

Distance will be our biggest hurdle this year for those of you that aren't able to visit your mum this Mother’s Day due to social distancing. Forget the simple Happy Mother’s Day text, you can still spoil her even if you can’t be there!

There aren’t many mums that wouldn’t love to open the door to a stunning bouquet just for her with a thoughtful card expressing how much you love and appreciate her. Find the perfect flowers for your mum with our Mother's Day Collection.

3. Movie night in the living room

The cinemas may be shut right now but that doesn’t mean you can’t bring the cinema experience to the living room, popcorn and all!
Sit back, relax and snuggle up with some blankets and a pillow from the comfort of your couch. Make sure you let her choose the movie, or you could surprise her with her all time favourite film (bonus points if you already knew what it was!). Don’t forget dessert, every mum loves a sweet treat. Check out our range of decedent sweet treats perfect for a movie night!

4. Baking fun

It seems the new trend during this lockdown period is baking. Let’s be honest, baking is fun all year round! Why not bring the high tea to your house. Pull out your apron and get baking this Mother’s Day, treating mum to a homemade afternoon tea. You can bake some of her favourite goodies, such as cupcakes, scones, banana bread, we could go on but you get the idea...

This doesn’t need to be presented on expensive floral china plates and tiered trays. She will appreciate the thought no matter what! Just brew her favourite tea and maybe even whip out the champagne for some extra fun!

5. Send her a hamper to pamper herself

You may need to get a little creative with this one, but we can make it easy for you! The thought of a pamper day spent at the spa with massages and facials sounds like an absolute dream doesn’t it? With the closures of spas, why not bring the pamper day to her?

Make mum feel like the beautiful goddess she is with a beautiful pamper hamper full of her favourite treats and nice smelling goodies. A hamper is the gift to get the woman who has everything but still deserves to be treated!

We all know mums deserve the absolute world every day of the year for all that they do for us. So don’t let a global pandemic stop you from showing her how much you love and appreciate her. Whatever you decide to do on Mother’s Day, mum will always love making memories with you.

Shop our Mother’s Day collection online and get your order in early to avoid disappointment!
